He is a boxer because boxers have the perfect face for this job. They can look noble, worried, offended, and mildly sleepy all at the same time. By lunch, we had written the line on a sticky note: Your Emergency Is Second. By afternoon, it had become a circular seal, because the phrase felt official, like something that should be stamped on forms before being ignored.
