Our Mission
BarkShirt makes shirts for people whose whole personality is their dog. If you have ever cancelled plans for a walk, narrated your dog's inner monologue, or found fur in places fur should not be, you are home.
Why we exist
Most pet merch is generic and forgettable. We are not that. Every BarkShirt design is made for real dog people who want to wear who they are: the dog mom, the dog dad, the rescue parent, the die-hard devotee of one very specific breed. Shirts that say what you would say, if a shirt could talk.
About US
BarkShirt started the way most good things do: with a dog and a strong opinion. We looked around at the pet merch out there and kept thinking, "None of this actually sounds like us." The shirts were either sappy, generic, or covered in clip-art paw prints that no self-respecting dog person would wear in public.
So we made our own. Then we made more. Then we realized we were not alone: there is a whole world of people out there who plan their weekends around their dog, keep a lint roller in every room, and would absolutely throw hands for their rescue mutt.
We are a small crew of dog people making shirts for dog people. We know the difference between "my dog" and "my entire personality," because we live on the wrong side of that line too. Every design starts with a real dog-life truth and gets obsessed over until it feels like something you would actually say out loud.
No corporate warehouse. No mystery. Just people who get it, printing shirts we would proudly wear ourselves, usually while covered in fur.
