Why We Made It

A volunteer was trying to coax a nervous gray pit mix into wearing a bandana that said Adopt Me. The dog wanted no part of the bandana, but he immediately leaned his entire body against a bearded guy in a faded work shirt.
The guy laughed and said, “Well, I guess I’m staff now.” Ten minutes later, he was asking about food allergies, crate sizes, and whether the dog liked trucks.
