The big curved lettering says PROUD DOG DAD, but the joke is that Bruno is not looking grateful. He is not gazing up adoringly at some mythical perfect owner. He is evaluating the household staff. So we pushed the design toward a crest, almost like a club emblem. Not “World’s Best Dad” in soft blue letters. More like a coastal patrol patch for men who have been pulled out of conversations because someone needed to bark at a recycling bin. The cream, navy, and warm red palette gives it that worn poster feel, while the black shirt makes the badge pop without getting too sweet.
The Father’s Day idea that stuck around
This one started as a Father’s Day concept, but it refused to stay seasonal. The more we talked about it, the more it felt like an everyday uniform for a very specific kind of person. The guy who says he is “not really a dog person” and then builds a ramp for the couch. The boyfriend who learns the difference between chicken jerky and duck jerky. The dad who pretends the dog sleeps in the crate, while the dog is clearly snoring diagonally across his pillow.
