Around Tank, the purple shadows and jagged green streaks give him a little superhero energy, not caped-crusader superhero, more like “I prevented three bad decisions today by demanding a walk” superhero.

Why we made it now
The idea started after a Saturday supply run to a local shelter drive. We brought towels, detergent, and a truly unreasonable number of tennis balls. One of the volunteers, Mara, had a gray-muzzled pittie mix leaning against her knee while she sorted donations. She told us he had arrived shut down, scared of doorways, and uninterested in treats. Back at the shop, the first sketch was too soft. Cute dog, pretty type, greeting-card energy. We scrapped it. The line needed a dog who looked like he had survived, adapted, forgiven, and still reserved the right to judge your leash technique. So Tank got heavier paws, a stronger chest, and eyes that could melt you or correct your priorities. The phrase stayed simple because rescue people do not need a paragraph. They know.
